A prosperous economy benefiting every citizen of Saint-Jean

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, August 12, 2026 – The leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Mr. Charles Milliard, is spending the day in the riding of Saint-Jean. Together with local candidate Patrice Léger Bourgoin, he will meet with residents of the electoral district to hear their concerns.

Several regional business leaders will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in securing Saint-Jean's economic prosperity. "In the current geopolitical climate, it is essential that we listen to entrepreneurs and respond to their needs. Whether it's the labour shortage or the issues arising from the tariff war, we have to give entrepreneurs the support they need to achieve their ambitions," says Patrice Léger Bourgoin. To that end, the Quebec Liberal Party is committed to putting in place an industrial policy that will encourage local investment focused on productivity and innovation.

Saint-Jean's social safety net, meanwhile, has been under strain for several years now. "I spent the summer meeting with community and social organizations. I had the chance to talk with people working on the ground. My priority will be to support them while respecting each of their missions," Léger Bourgoin continues.

As MNA, Patrice Léger Bourgoin intends to provide unifying leadership. "I have confidence in Saint-Jean's extraordinary potential for growth — that's what makes its future so promising. I favour dialogue over division. We need to create a catalyst effect that propels our community to new heights," Léger Bourgoin concludes.
