Less regulation, more efficiency: concrete measures to cut red tape

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, August 30, 2026 – Patrice Léger Bourgoin, Quebec Liberal Party candidate in Saint-Jean, supports his party's concrete measures to cut red tape.

A Liberal government will put in place:

• An immediate moratorium on any new regulation that adds to the regulatory burden on businesses;
• A 2-for-1 reduction rule applicable to all administrative requirements;
• Maximum response times for government departments and agencies;
• A rapid-response team, Efficacité Québec, serving entrepreneurs and innovators stuck in the government maze.

"Our Haut-Richelieu entrepreneurs spend too many hours filling out forms instead of growing their businesses. Every unnecessary requirement we eliminate is time given back to the local economy," says Patrice Léger Bourgoin.
