The Quebec Liberal Party has the ambition to repair and build

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, September 2, 2026 – Patrice Léger Bourgoin, Quebec Liberal Party candidate in Saint-Jean, welcomes his party's ambition to repair and build Quebec's infrastructure.

A Liberal government commits to:

Devoting 75% of the Quebec Infrastructure Plan (PQI) to maintaining existing assets;
Ensuring that 80% of public infrastructure is rated in "satisfactory" condition or better;
Raising the PQI to $195 billion over a 10-year period starting in 2027;
Amending the Public Infrastructure Act so the PQI is established over a 25-year horizon;
Promoting modular construction in the State's institutional projects;
Mandating Investissement Québec to develop a strong, diversified entrepreneurial ecosystem;
Overhauling the administrative structure of municipal infrastructure funding programs.

"Repairing our schools, roads and bridges before they deteriorate is plain common sense. And for a city like Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, overhauling municipal infrastructure funding is a breath of fresh air," says Patrice Léger Bourgoin.
